Nerikomi Orange & Black Teacup

One-of-a-kind festive teacup, holds approximately 11 oz.

Nerikomi is a multiple-step process of coloring the white clay and forming blocks.  Slices of alternating colors are pounded together and after a resting period, it is thrown on the wheel.  The end result is somewhat unpredictable and variable.  The final step is to trim away the blurry outer shell to reveal crisp patterns in the clay.  Magic!
